11th Annual Dance/Drum Conference 2010

The 2010 Annual Master Dance/Drum Conference will be conducted by Ramatu Afegbua-Sabbatt from Nigeria, Founder/ Director of Manga African Dance Inc;  

Guest Dance Instructors:Assane Konte (Senegal), founder and Artistic Director of Kankouran west African dance company,  Mabiba Baegne (Congo), Djeneba Sako (Mali), Mariatu Cisse (Guinee), Youssouf Koumbasa (Guinee), Ndeye Gueye (Sabar, Senegal), Praise Ekeng (Nigeria), Samba Diallo (Ivory Coast)

Guest Musicians: 

Souleymon Diop (Kutiro, Senegal), Constant Massengo (Ngoma,Congo),  Aly Camera (Djimbe, Guinea), Abdoulaye Diallo (Djimbe, Mali), Assane Mbaye (Kutiro, Sabar & Djimbe,Senegal), Ahmadou Ngoma Ndaw(Djounjoun, Sabar & kutiro, Senegal), Weedie,

Price: $12 per class for group of 10, $15 per class per person, $20 per person for concert. Vending $75/day Saturday and Sunday, Friday $15. Vendors taking 7 classes and a concert ticket gets one of vending days FREE. Pay on line now via Pay Pal on home page. Thank you for your support.

“I AM KIRIKOU”

(A Musical Stage Play) 

(BASED ON A WEST AFRICAN FOLK STORY)

  CAN LITTLE KIRIKOU SAVE HIS VILLAGE?

In a small village somewhere in Africa , a small boy named

KIRIKOU is born.  He is a special boy because he knows

what he wants very well.  His mother tells him how the

spring has dried up and how all of the warriors except

one has been devoured by the wicked KARABA.

Little KIRIKOU decides to accompany the last

warrior to see KARABA.  Because of his

intrepidity KIRIKOU may be the last

hope of his village!
