Youth Spring Camp 2024

A special thanks to the TRG for making this camp happened. Manga African Dance is appreciative of this opportunity.

Manga African Dance, Inc. (MADI) youth camp is designed with the intent to educate the youth in a fun way about the dances, percussion, visual arts, and story-telling of Africa. The concept is a package with dance (ballet 101, & intensive African Dance), percussion, storytelling and arts, during the one week of spring camp culminating with a display of all their art work, and performance of the music studied and dance. Three instructors rotate and work together to teach about their specialties. This project is intended to reach families who are trying to create a safe, fun, and cultural learning environment for their children during the Spring break happening in April, and to those who are financially in disadvantage.

This year, Manga was granted financial help from the Training Resources Group, Inc. (TRG), We truly appreciate the continued support.

Under the financial umbrella of the TRG, Manga collaborated with the the Friends and Stars, Inc. to bring the African culture to the young children with disability as well to the Atlanta campers. Located in Thomasville, the center for Arts was the attraction of the day, while the Little Five points Community Center (L5PPC) served the Atlanta Spring campers.
